They’ve lived a life in darkness, and they’ve just been exposed to a really bright light! We don’t blame you for trying to turn them to the light side, but Snoodles are bad to the bone. If you carry a Koopa shell and point it towards them, they will immediately disappear, which is pretty unfortunate, but not unexpected. If they see him, they start to furiously bend slightly in his direction, which is really their only means of attack, considering they are firmly planted to the ground. Snoodles are weird water worms with big ol’ eyes, that they use to spot Mario. Most Mario enemies exist in real life anyhow, so it’s not too big a setback. So maybe we’re on a bit of a “Weird Marine Enemies” kick! What can I say? If you go to the ocean, you are guaranteed to find a certified friend! Maybe a tube worm!Ĭan you believe these things?! These are worms! Weird, funky, deep sea worms! If we were “Weird Real Life Animals,” we’d probably have a post for these guys already, but it’s okay. Keep reading mandibug super mario galaxy mario mario enemies mod hooligon In the Puzzle Plank Galaxy, there’s this puzzle block that summons a Mandibug Stack when completed! So if you want to let a big bug into your life… you now know how. It’s pretty much JUST a Mandibug that takes two ground pounds instead of one. With the Mandibug Stack, you get a big bug and a baby bug! The best of both worlds! Mandibug Stack is apparently treated as something pretty special by the game, it has its own boss theme, and even returned in Super Mario Galaxy 2, but for a miniboss, it’s not really that hard at all. Well then get ready for the Mandibug Stack! On the bottom is an especially big Mandibug internally named the Stink Bug Parent, but I think we can do one better and call it the Mandibug Mom. You might be saying “Hey! I want TWO of these bugs!” Check out the symbol on their back! That’s a symbol that appears throughout the series that says “Hey you! Time for a Ground Pound!” If you Ground Pound on a Mandibug’s back, it will be flattened, and it will die.īut maybe you’re not satisfied. While bigger bugs may seem like bigger buddies, if you don’t want a big bug bite, then you know how to take ‘em out, right? Give ‘em a stomp like any other enemy, and they will… hide! They have exoskeletons, a measly hop isn’t gonna take them out like all the OTHER enemies with exoskeletons you can take out in one hop! You gotta go the Full Randall. They’ll charge from a short distance, back up, and charge again to bite Mario in the behind! Or the front. Unfortunately, bigger bugs mean bigger bruises, as these Weird Mario Enemies are in fact… enemies! As is true to the blog’s title. It’s time for a beetle! A beetle you can battle! But not Battle Beetle! It’s Mandibug! Check out its mandibles! You wouldn’t want to stick your hands between those! Or your entire body for that matter! Because Mandibug is huge! While we do like to talk about how most Donkey Kong enemies are the size of a gorilla, we still must recognize that most Mario enemies are still the size of an entire human person. Petapeta mario mario enemies super mario galaxy mod hooligon Between the intricate patterns on the bag, the wooden sandals, and the Eyes-in-a-Black-Void Face it shares with its cousins, I almost thought this enemy was based on some sort of yokai… But it’s not, or at least, not as far as I can tell! And I even consulted our blog’s Japanese Mythology EXPERT on this issue! Mod F Boy doesn’t know either! So this creature was probably woven from whole cloth, but what nice cloth it is! So green and spindly… Of course, while most people probably already will remember this enemy for its fun gimmick and the reward you get for finding it, I think we must take a moment to acknowledge how WONDERFUL this design is as well. Kick it over and you’ll get SEVERAL scrumptious Star Bits! The most delicious space chunks in the galaxies! When a Petapeta first appears, it will be invisible, but spin it, like we did there, and it will reveal itself, a bit dizzy from the knock-out. But we can find them! We just gotta listen… Listen very closely… is that the sound of… footsteps?) HUWAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUGHHHH!Īh! There’s Petapeta! Misnamed by some fans as the “Starbag,” Petapeta actually has never been named in English, with that name being its Japanese name, taken from the onomatopoeia of something hitting against a hard surface! Petapeta is pretty much the extraterrestrial equivalent of Moneybag and Coin Coffer, being a rare enemy in BOTH Super Mario Galaxy games! (Shhhh! Don’t be too loud! Today’s enemy is kind of shy, they aren’t exactly that willing to show themselves.
